Minutes of the July 1, 2008 Meeting

 

The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by President Thad Crowe.  The pledge of allegiance was given and a moment of silence was observed for those serving to protect our country.

 

ANNOUNCEMNETS:

 

June minutes were approved.

 

Carole McCleery gave the Treasurer’s Report.  We currently have a balance of $2022.48

 

Program:

Candidates for the position Clerk of the Courts:

The following candidates were present: Ken Mazzie, Donna Mitchell, Frank Navarette, and Gail Wadsworth.  Each candidate was given five minutes to speak.  The candidates drew numbers for order of presentations.   

 

Candidates for Sheriff:

The following candidates were present: Mark Carman, James F. Delaney, Donald Fleming, Jack Howell, William Karback, James Manfre, Ray Stevens and Karl Tozzi.  Each candidate was given five minutes to respond to one question that was randomly selected and the remaining time was used to share their qualifications for the position of sheriff.

 

Don Hoskins was the time keeper for both groups.

 

Candidates for other positions attending the meeting were asked to introduce themselves.  The meeting was adjourned by Thad Crowe at 8:40 and candidates were available to answer questions.
